About Us

National Centre for Particle Physics (NCPP) was established in 2013 and is hosted by University of Malaya (UM) to facilitate and centralise scientific collaboration in particle physics within Malaysia. Local particle physics researchers and industry players can hence utilise NCPP facilities and international network. It is part of the National Science Consortium.

NCPP is managing research, transfer of technology and talent development involving international collaborators which includes the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Switzerland, Deutsch Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) in Germany, High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK) and the Coherent Muon to Electron Transition (COMET) Experiment in Japan.

NCPP deals with the following main research areas: experimental and theoretical particle physics; high energy physics; general theory of relativity and gravitation detector physics; particle data analysis; high performance computing and metaphysical discussions.
